Spring Blooming - part 2

Chiara M. Travisi - illustrated by Svenja Karstens

Spring blooming - Part 2

Part 2 of the Spring blooming sequence continues the antigravitational work based on standing asanas with the help of a rolled mat on the back armpit chest. Besides, from the utthita alignment, that is from a straight spine position, each of the standing asana of this series is then performed moving to a purva pratana alignment. In fact, by increasing the coiling action with the help of the rolled mat, the dorsal and cervical spine are then brought into a complete extension creating the conditions for a nice opening in the sternum and heart region. Legs should remain very stable and this is the reason why some variations are also proposed at the wall or using the ropes to create even more stability.
